Luthien Tinuviel cosplay - nature shoot I

Description

I finally managed to get a relatively decent nature cosplay shoot done! My camera isn't the best right now, so the resolution isn't that great, but ah well. Also, sunset pics, which is always nice, but that also means less light, so I had to fiddle with the contrast and light levels in some pics. Pics by Bilbo-cosplayer PilarErika, who is for the time being my official cosplay photographer :D.

-Dress: Armstreet Lady of the Lake flax-blue linen dress. I'm in love with it, so gorgeous!! It also screams 'LÚTHIEN!' at me with that perfect flax-blue and all the golden flower motives in the trims. And the floor length sleeves...in love Love

-Cloak not here. It's an ArtemisiaDesigns black velvet cloak, with a really long train. Will have to do another shoot with the cloak.

-Shoes: Royal blue suede flats (that you can't see).

-Hair: My own hair (mid-thigh length), with some bandanna waves at the ends. I had just come back from the Expomanga event, so it was rather tangled and clumpy by that time. Still, I've seen worse hair days, it doesn't look very full but at least it stays together :D.
You can't see the hairstyle clearly here, but it's two 3-strand accent braids with leaves intertwined (I still have to find some fake flowers) and green crystal gems (don't have blue or golden ones, green didn't look so bad either), plus a silver leaf barrette in the back.

-No jewelry (I sometimes go for a thin circlet, but nothing this time). I've always imagined Lúthien as wearing gorgeous dresses but very little jewelry apart from flowers and/or gems in her hair, like Tolkien describes her (or maybe a circlet).

-Make-up: Light powder, bit of contouring to enhance the cheekbones and make the face a bit longer (I haven't practised a lot with contouring though, so I kept it very light just in case. I'd like to enhance the cheekbones a bit more in the future). Blue mascara, a subtle shimmery copper shadow and dark cobalt eyeliner.

-Ears: Flesh-coloured plaster. Easy but surprisingly realistic in a pic :) (Smile)
