This is what I like to call the ‘informal Rivendell ‘morning dress’ for a Noldorin loremistress/erudite’. The dress is really comfy and practical (no train or overlong sleeves), plus leggings and comfy knee-length flat boots. During the colder months I wear a burgundy undershirt (the way it looks reminds me of the way Regency women wore chemisette inserts to cover part of their necklines and/or cleavage when wearing their morning dresses. In my case it's solely because of the colder weather, and it adds to the 'casual' 'morning dress' look, imo).
Regarding the crown-style updo, both my personal headcanon and some Tolkien references describe Noldorin ladies as wearing braided updos (crown braids or other), and bejewelled hairnets, snoods and tressures.
